I realise i have dropped off writing my blog but there is a reason for it. Maybe even two. The main reason being i believe im developing anger issues, many will say i have always had anger issues but this is news to me!!! reading through and reliving my trips to the pool, my incidents with motorist whilst out on the bike and wishing i could get away with slitting a throat or two then out running with little runts shouting at you to get a shift on or go faster! little shits will go faster when i kick em in the head!! Anyway the point is i felt my anger issues repeating through my blog and didn't think it would be good reading for you usual blog reader. Another reason is the general repetitiveness of training and being injured. Training from scratch for an Ironman is hard work. Once a base has been established im sure it can only get easier but going from a couple of hours a week training to 15-20hours a week is certainly a shock to the system and i believe why i have been injured so much throughout the ordeal. Never the less im ready. Not in peak condition, i still have a foot injury and i have had to readjust my targets but as an ex soldier im using this as a recce im going to enjoy it and then prepare for IMWA!!!!
So training wise i have been winding down, 30mile race Thursday few swims hour ride Friday and 70minutes today, time to pack up the bike and wash my tri suit before beginning to pack. See you on the other side.
